Photography found me

the way two lovers are torn apart by time—

only to return to each other years later—

not by chance but by gravity,

falling not for the first time, but forever.

Values That Shape My Work:

PRESENCE

When we feel present, we show up differently. We soften. We smile without hesitation. We let our guard down. Presence is about being there fully—and it’s in those moments where art comes alive.

HUMOR

Humor lets us exhale, settle in, and forget the camera’s even there. When we laugh, it breaks the tension, brings out the in-between moments, and reminds us that joy isn’t something you pose for—it’s something you feel.

CONNECTION

Connection invites comfort, and comfort creates moments that feel true: the way he lights up your face, how your fingers naturally finds hers. That’s why I’m there to gently guide, but more than anything, to remind you to simply be. Less posing, more presence.

TRUTH

There’s a kind of beauty that can’t be staged. It shows up in the unscripted—the way your eyes meet, the emotion in your hands, the glances you give when no one’s watching. The photos that endure are the ones that reflect you as you really are.

My Photography Journey

In college, I took every class under the sun, including a Photo 1 course. It ended with a final assignment: combine photography with storytelling. I paired photos with poetry, and something clicked.

I chose to study Creative Writing, believing photography would remain a hobby. But I kept returning to it — like second shooting weddings with my sister. There was something about the intertwined hands, the tearful hugs, the beer-soaked sendoffs into forever…

But still, as young adults often do, I wandered — from designing newspapers in Boone, to guiding hiking trips in Vermont, to social work in the Utah desert. Until one day, as if someone hit rewind and fast forward all at once, I found myself capturing weddings. This time with a dream photography studio that, like me, loved lacing together the art of photography with storytelling.

That’s when I knew: this is my life’s work. I love photography deeply — but more than anything, I love the people I get to meet along the way. Like you.
